YCE, Inc. is pleased to announce two new scholarships for female students

who are actively pursuing degrees in engineering or agriculture

The Dream Big Scholarships have been developed in order to support women pursuing agricultural and engineering degrees. These scholarships tie into the local exclusive showing of the “Dream Big” movie premiere, which showcases engineering wonders from around the world and serves to motivate a new generation of engineers, including agricultural engineering/business fields of study.

 

Application Criteria

(application deadline is January 31, 2017)

 

Two Scholarships available for Female Students, $750 each

  1. Civil Engineering / Sustainable Engineering / Environmental Engineering / Agricultural Engineering or related Engineering fields of study

  2. Agriculture / Agribusiness / Agricultural Engineering / Biological Engineering / Forestry / Soil Science or related Agricultural field of study

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must submit a complete application

  • Must be present at the Dream Big Movie Premiere in February 2017 (date TBD)

  • Must live in Ventura, Santa Barbara, or San Luis Obispo Counties

  • Must be a female student pursuing a bachelor's degree program at a University or Community College - First year students (seniors in high school) accepted

  • Employees and vendors of YCE, Inc. and their immediate family members are not eligible to apply

  • All applications MUST be submitted or postmarked no later than January 31, 2017

 

Selection Process

  • A committee of YCE, Inc.’s choosing will select the two $750 scholarship winners

  • Donors and sponsors will be sought out in conjunction with the local movie premiere, which may result in additional scholarship(s) being awarded. In this case, selection criteria will be the same and award amount(s) could be lower.
